Learning To Forget In Order To Achieve The Prize

This morning's sermon was shared by Rev. Stefan Lach, a very good friend of our ministry and of our church.  His message was based on Philippians 3:13-14:
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Pastor Lach's main points were:
1. Learning to forget the past.
2. Learning to be content.
3. Learning to reach for the goal.

Qualities of a Successful Father

Happy Father's Day!  This morning's sermon is based on Genesis 18, verses 1 and 19:
And the Lord appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day;...For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.
The successful father:

  • Knows God as Father
  • Knows the cross of Christ
  • Knows the power of Christ
  • Knows how to give to Christ
  • Knows how to trust Christ

What Are You?

Today's message is based on Hebrews 2:6-9:
6But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?
7Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:
8Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
9But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
The main sermon points are:

You are created (video link:  Louie Giglio - Laminin)
You are remembered
You are loved
You are visited
You are valued
